Nepal Muktak Foundation Honors Sarubhakta and Dhakal with Literary Awards, Celebrating Art and Literature

Kathmandu- The Nepal Muktak Foundation has recently announced the recipients of this year's prestigious literary awards, recognizing the outstanding contributions of Sarubhakta and Dhakal in the realm of art and literature.

The foundation has bestowed the esteemed 'Bhim Darshan Muktak Award' upon writer Sarubhakta, acknowledging his remarkable achievements in MuktaK literature over the past five decades. This award, accompanied by a cash prize of NPR 51,000, highlights Sarubhakta's immense impact on the literary landscape.

In addition, Anuradha Dhakal's Muktak collection 'Aarabdh' has been selected for the prestigious 'Krishna-Ratna-Chetan Muktak Award' among the Muktak works published in 2079. This recognition, accompanied by a cash prize of 31,000 rupees, celebrates Dhakal's literary prowess and contribution to the art form.

Both awards pay homage to the pioneers of modern Nepali Muktak literature, Bhim Darshan Roka, Krishna Prasad Parajuli, Ratna Shumsher Thapa, and Chetan Karki. These literary giants have left an indelible mark on the artistic and literary heritage of Nepal.

On the day of the award ceremony, the Nepal Muktak Foundation will also unveil the debut Muktak collection 'Sheetko Runjhun' by renowned writer Ratna Shumsher Thapa. This event, coinciding with Muktak Diwas on the 18th of Magh, will further showcase the richness and diversity of Nepali literature.

The recognition and celebration of Sarubhakta and Dhakal's literary achievements serve as a testament to the power of art and literature in shaping culture, fostering creativity, and inspiring generations to come.
