Tragic Deaths in Imadol Raise Questions about Society's Direction

Kathmandu- In a heart-wrenching incident that unfolded in Imadol, the life of a woman and her two young children was abruptly cut short, leaving the community in shock and raising profound concerns about the state of our society.

The tragic events, which occurred in Mahalakshmi Municipality-3 of Lalitpur, have left many questioning the circumstances surrounding the deaths and pondering the direction in which our society is heading.

According to SSP Shekhar Khanal of the District Police Range in Lalitpur, the woman, identified as Rabina Maharjan, resided in Ochu Height. On that fateful day, she tragically jumped from the third floor of her residence. Local residents, witnessing the horrifying incident, promptly rushed to her aid and rushed her to Kist Hospital. However, despite their efforts, Rabina succumbed to her injuries during treatment.

Shortly thereafter, the woman's two children, two-year-old Riwa Maharjan and six-year-old Ashwet Maharjan, were discovered unconscious in their room. They were quickly rescued and transported to Kist Hospital in an unconscious state. Tragically, both children also passed away despite the medical team's best efforts.

The cause of death for the two individuals has yet to be determined. SSP Khanal revealed that the post-mortem examination would shed light on the circumstances leading to their untimely demise. While it is suspected that Rabina may have taken her own life, no suicide note was found at the scene.

Rabina had been residing in the house with her husband, mother-in-law, and their two children. Notably, her husband was absent from the premises when the tragic incident unfolded. The authorities have launched an investigation into the matter, with the goal of uncovering the truth behind these devastating deaths.

This heartrending incident serves as a stark reminder of the challenges we face as a society. It prompts us to question the factors that may have contributed to such a tragic outcome and the overall direction in which our society is heading.
