Nepali Poet Amar Akash's Debut Collection 'Tungana' Unveiled at New Delhi World Book Fair

 New Delhi- In an event held on the second day of the World Book Fair 2024 in New Delhi, India, Nepali poet Amar Akash's inaugural poetry collection, titled 'Tungana,' was officially launched.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of renowned personalities such as Odiya poet and former Ambassador Amarendra Khatua, Himalayan poet Yuyutsu Sharma, poet and historian Radha Chakraborty, and a group of distinguished Indian poets. Additionally, Pratik Magazine's Australia issue was also introduced during the occasion.

The fair showcased a multilingual poetry reading session, where poets recited their works in various languages including Tamil, Hindi, English, and Nepali. Notably, Yuyutsu Sharma presented the title poem 'Tungana' in English.

The event featured several other talented poets such as Manoj Krishnan, Mandira Ghosh, Usha Muju Munsi, Rachana Joshi, Sanjula Sharma, Poonam Suri, Rumki Vasu, Swati Ramble Sharma, Priyasha Mohanty, and Eval Bharti, among others, who captivated the audience with their poetic renditions.

Shreejana Bhandari, the Director of White Lotus Book Shop Kathmandu, concluded the program by emphasizing the significance of such events in fostering cultural exchange between nations and promoting the recognition of Nepali poets on the global stage.
