Literary Event in Chandrapur: Book Launch and Honoring of Three Individuals

Chandrapur-  Chandrapur witnessed a significant literary event as two books were launched, and three individuals were honored for their contributions.

The event, organized jointly by Srashta Samaj Nepal and Sahitya Sanjal Rautahat, in association with Ward No. 5 of Chandrapur Municipality, took place with great enthusiasm.

The program saw the participation of 16 literary figures from the Nepalese literary community, including renowned writers from Kathmandu and various districts such as Udayapur, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Bara, and Makwanpur. It was a remarkable gathering that showcased the unity and diversity of literary talents.

The book launch ceremony featured "Aarambh," a collection of essays by literary writer Sheetal Ghiri, and "Avinaasi Antar," a poetry anthology by Dr. Shaligram Sharma. The chief guest and distinguished literary figure, Nagendraraj Sharma, the founder, curator, and editor-in-chief of Dhaimaasik Sahityik Patrakar, officially unveiled the books.

In his address, Nagendraraj Sharma emphasized the importance of private initiatives in promoting the advancement of Nepali language literature. He acknowledged the significant contributions made by the local literary community in Chandrapur, making the event a momentous occasion.

During the ceremony, Chandranigahapur-based Ramkrishna Chaudhary, a 90-year-old veteran, Muslim woman Agwa Marzina Khatoon, and freedom fighter Chabilal Ghimire from 2007 were honored posthumously with commendations and certificates for their exceptional contributions in the fields of education and social welfare.

The program was attended by 16 representatives from Srashta Samaj Nepal, including office bearers and members.

Notable personalities present included Oma Shrestha Rodan, the President of Srashta Samaj Nepal, former President Pawan Alok, General Secretary Devika Timsina, Ashwini Koirela, the Editor-in-Chief of SahityaPost (I) Daily, Sheetal Ghiri, Dr. Sadanandan Kandel, Dr. Shantimaya Ghiri, Rajesh Khanal, Gangaprasad Bhetwal, Suman Pudasaini, Buddhisagar Poudel, Subhash Chandra Poudel Bhimfedya, Sushma Acharya, Tara Suvedi, and Madhu Pathak.

The event not only celebrated the literary achievements but also recognized the valuable contributions of individuals to society. It marked a significant milestone in the literary history of Chandrapur, leaving a lasting impression on all those who attended.
