"Nepal Embassy Hosts Spectacular Event in Colombo, Showcasing Tourism Treasures"

Kathmandu-  In a remarkable display of Nepal's rich tourism offerings, the Embassy of Nepal in Colombo organized an extraordinary tourism promotion event under the theme of "Discover the Himalaya Wonder:

Explore the Cultural Treasures." The program witnessed a vibrant gathering of travel agents, journalists, and business professionals from both Sri Lanka and Nepal, who enthusiastically participated in the event.

Nepal's Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Basudev Mishra, emphasized the pivotal role of the tourism industry in revitalizing the economies of both Nepal and Sri Lanka. He called for a collaborative approach to enhance synergy between the two nations in the tourism sector. Ambassador Mishra warmly invited Sri Lankan nationals to experience the wonders of Nepal, highlighting the country's welcoming atmosphere, diverse tourism products, and competitive prices.

During the event, the participants from Sri Lanka expressed their keen interest in visiting Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, as well as other captivating sites in Nepal. Dr. Kalyan Raj Sharma, the Managing Director of Nepal's Adventure Outdoor Trek and Expedition Company, delivered an engaging presentation on Nepal's tourism offerings, showcasing the incredible range of experiences provided by the country's tourism industry. Dr. Sharma emphasized that Nepal's tourism avenue extends far beyond religious tourism, with adventure tourism and wildlife exploration gaining popularity among visitors.

The event featured a captivating display of Nepali tourism and business products, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture of Nepal. Informative presentations highlighted the diverse tourist destinations, cultural heritage, and showcased Nepali songs and promotional videos.

The Nepali business community, present at the event, expressed their optimism in attracting more tourists from Sri Lanka and unveiled competitive tour packages tailored to suit the preferences of Sri Lankan visitors.

Intending to foster stronger ties, Ambassador Mishra urged the Sri Lankan business community to explore investment and business opportunities in Nepal. He highlighted Nepal's upcoming Investment Summit in May and encouraged collaboration and cooperation between the two nations in these areas.
