Minu Maya Praja Honored with Parakram Bal Pratibha Award for Outstanding Achievements in Art and Literature

Kathmandu-  In a prestigious ceremony held today, young prodigy Minu Maya Praja was bestowed with the esteemed Parakram Bal Pratibha Award for her exceptional contributions to the world of art and literature.

The Parakram Bal Pratibha Award, established by renowned literary figures Mahesh Paudyal and Rama Adhikari, is a tribute to their late son, Prakram Paudyal. This distinguished accolade aims to recognize and encourage young talents who exhibit extraordinary aptitude and dedication in the field of art and literature.

Minu Maya Praja, a bright student currently studying in grade 10 at Shri Saraswati Secondary School in Chauri Deurali Rural Municipality, Chheda, Kavre, was unanimously chosen as the recipient of this year's award. Despite facing challenging economic and familial circumstances, Praja has demonstrated exceptional academic prowess, coupled with a remarkable talent for music.

The decision to honor Praja was made during a committee meeting chaired by the esteemed litterateur Pratik Dhakal, who serves as the President of the Parbatiya Sahitya Samaj Nepal. Praja's selection for the award not only acknowledges her academic excellence but also recognizes her outstanding achievements in the realm of music. The announcement was made by the committee's member-secretary, Bhawani Khatiwada.

As a recipient of the Parakram Bal Pratibha Award, Minu Maya Praja will be presented with a cash prize of 15,000 rupees, along with a certificate of honor. This recognition serves as a testament to her unwavering dedication, resilience, and exceptional talent in the domains of art and literature.

The Parakram Bal Pratibha Award has previously been bestowed upon individuals who have overcome various challenges to showcase their exceptional skills. Differently-abled poet Darshan KC, and Tara Tamang, who demonstrated exceptional oratorical skills despite unfavorable economic conditions, and Prem Chepang, a talented singer from an underprivileged community, have all received this prestigious award.

Additionally, Alisha Phuyal and Yogesh Rai, visually impaired students from Aadarsha Secondary School in Madhyapur Thimi, were recognized for their remarkable achievements in music and academics.
