Man Utd agree terms with Zirkzee - Sunday's gossip

Manchester United are closing in on Joshua Zirkzee, Arsenal are yet to match Riccardo Calafiori's asking price and Pascal Gross is set to join Borussia Dortmund.

Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Dutch striker Joshua Zirkzee and are in talks with Bologna about how the Italian club want the 23-year-old's release fee of £34m paid.

Chelsea are willing to offer Belgium striker Romelu Lukaku, 31, and Italian midfielder Cesare Casadei, 21, to Napoli to help lower the price of 25-year-old Nigeria forward Victor Osimhen. 

Arsenal have yet to match Bologna's £42.3m asking price for Italy defender Riccardo Calafiori, 22, and talks between the two clubs are continuing. 

Germany midfielder Pascal Gross has agreed personal terms with Borussia Dortmund, who are in talks about signing the 33-year-old from Brighton for between £6m and £8.5m). 

Tottenham have been linked with Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher, 24, but the England international is unlikely to move to Spurs this summer as the transfer business the Blues have done has helped them meet profit and sustainability rules. 

Newcastle United winger Miguel Almiron is in talks with his representative about his future, with the 30-year-old Paraguay international linked with a move to Saudi Arabia and the Magpies believed to be open to selling him. 

Real Madrid are confident they can beat Spanish rivals Barcelona to the signature of 21-year-old Bayer Leverkusen and Germany midfielder Florian Wirtz. 

The agent of Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez, 31, says Manchester United were close to signing him from Aston Villa last summer but Old Trafford boss Erik ten Hag opted to bring in Cameroon's Andre Onana, 28, instead.

AC Milan have made an initial offer for Tottenham and Brazil right-back Emerson Royal but there is a gap between the clubs' valuations of the 25-year-old. 

Spain striker Alvaro Morata is weighing up whether to leave Atletico Madrid to join AC Milan, with the 31-year-old having said he would stay at the Spanish club until he won something with them. )
