'Aanchanka Katha' and 'Prithbhiko Shwetparta' launched

Kathmandu- A collection of short fictions named 'Aanchanka Katha' and an anthology of poetry entitled 'Prithiviko Shwetparta (White Paper of the Earth)' were launched at separate programmes on Friday. At the events separately organized by the Nepal Academy, Academy's Chancellor Bhupal Rai launched the books. The story book 'Aanchanka Katha' by story writer Chandra Maden Aanchan consists of a total of 10 stories depicting Nepali society and contemporary issues.

It has the short stories on titles such as 'Aama Alap Bhayin', 'Netaji Ra Maili Aama', 'Janamukti Yoddhhako Bilauna', 'Khalanayak Mama Ra Mahanayak Bhanja', 'Bhangeriko Pida' and 'Ekai Ratma Naya Zindagi' among others. Similarly, poet Amardeep Sunuwar's poetry anthology includes poems titled 'Nadiko Sapath', 'Mero Likhu Nadi', 'Zebracrossing Ko Mulya' and 'Sagarmatha Lai Gyanpatra' among others encapsulating the contemporary issues of society.

On the occasion, Chancellor Rai appreciated the efforts of the writers whose works reflected their own life and times thereby offering authenticity and insights to the readers. He opined that the writers these days were perusing writing to assert their existence and presence in the society.
