Present political equation aims to achieve stability, prosperity: Lekhak

Kathmandu- The announcement by Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak highlights key political developments in Nepal. According to him, the proposal for a constitutional amendment is aimed at strengthening democratic inclusion in the country. The Constitution, described as a dynamic document, is being reviewed for necessary updates, with political parties recognizing the need for amendments every decade. Importantly, this amendment will require the consensus of all political parties.

Lekhak emphasized that the current coalition government, formed by the Nepali Congress (NC) and the Communist Party of Nepal (Unified Marxist Leninist) (CPN-UML), seeks to restore political stability and address public frustrations. The primary goals of the coalition include achieving peace, good governance, development, and prosperity. Furthermore, he highlighted the swift passage of a Bill related to transitional justice within 30 days of the government’s formation as a key accomplishment.

This development underscores the government's commitment to constitutional evolution and stability in Nepal's political landscape.
